I forget if I mentioned Nicks to you all before. My husband and I had went here once to see a friend’s son perform. They have live entertainment later in the evenings. While we were there for the show, we tried the wings. They were good enough that we knew we had to come back. That was a couple months ago I believe. We came back and tried it a week or so ago.
I am rating this place a 3 because there were parts of the meal that were better then I expected.
My favorite part of my meal was the Roasted Red Peppers and Crab Soup. It was very yummy. I tasted like a really good bowl of vegetable soup. I think it would be wonderful in the winter.
My husband and I split the Catfish Nuggets Appetizer. They were very yummy. What I liked most is that they were very fish like. Had good flavor and were flaky.
For my main entree, I had a Cobb Salad – which was huge! I was a little blown away by the size of the salad. It was tasty and I would get it again. Lots of chicken.
My husband had the Chicken Parm. It had a lot of chicken but not a lot of cheese. And the sauce was not that good. He probably would not get that again.
The main cons… The service was just okay. Our waiter seemed distracted. At one point I asked for water and didn’t get it till like 20 minutes later. And there were a number of families their with kids. Which was odd to me because is really seems like a bar to me. Also the music/noise-level was loud. The older I get the less I am liking that. I like a little quiet at my dinner.
But all and all we had an enjoyable experience there. And we will return – particularly if we go to the movies out that way.
